Overview
Black and Indigenous identifying relatives are welcome to join in learning from a stellar lineup of Black and Indigenous guest speakers and join facilitated discussions on important issues of our times.

Paths forward: What does unity and solidarity look like for the 21st century?
The ReHuman School was inspired by Black students in our "Building Solidarity with Indigenous Communities" course to offer this connective space, and we look forward to welcoming as many attendees across the world as possible.
In this conference, you will:
Hear from incredible Black and Indigenous leaders and how they are building intercultural solidarity
Reflect on shared ancestries and histories between Black and Indigenous peoples
Connect in safe space with relatives across the globe through breakout sessions and community forums
Identify steps and actions that can be made together in service to each other and Mother Earth

This conference takes place online on two Sundays, October 11 & 18, 2026
Sessions are from 9-11am Pacific Time (time zone converter)

Pay what you can
This conference is available on a sliding scale basis from $1 - ∞. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
100% net of proceeds from ReHuman tuition is invested in Indigeous-led ecological restoration projects with over $37,000 given to date.

In our first gathering, we will hear from Diné (Navajo) community organizer Dr. Lyla June Johnston and Black/Red solidarity researcher Dr. Kyle T Mays on the unique shared experiences between Black and Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island (aka North America). We will hear from brilliant Black and Indigenous leaders through our first facilitated discussion panel, while opening up the conversation to all conference attendees in break sessions and group discussion.

In our second gathering, we will hear from our second panel of inspiring Black and Indigenous leaders through a facilitated discussion panel. We will then dive into tangible takeaways and actions that relatives can make to practice Black and Indigenous solidarity in their communities. We will close out the conference with final reflections, general Q&A, and recommended resources.
