Who we are

ReHuman School is brought to life by a small, dedicated team united by the belief that humanity can be Earth's gift.

Lyla June Johnston, PhD

Executive Assistant

Dr. Lyla June Johnston (Diné/Tsétsêhéstâhese) is the founder of ReHuman School and a leading voice in Indigenous regenerative education. Through her research, music, and teaching—featured at TEDx, Bioneers, and Stanford—she provides living proof that humanity can be a keystone species, catalyzing biodiversity and ecosystem health when guided by Indigenous values and practices.

Lisa Love

Creative Director

Lisa Love serves as Executive Assistant to Dr. Lyla June, a role she has held for 11 years.

Priscilla Peña

Priscilla designs identities, systems, and experiences that help organizations translate complex purpose into clear visual form. With over 15 years collaborating with partners from the Amazon rainforest to Silicon Valley—including conservation initiatives, cultural institutions, independent creatives, and global corporations—she's developed a practice rooted in deep listening and precision. As Creative Director for ReHuman School, she leads the visual identity and digital presence that honors and amplifies both Indigenous voices and those of our other-than-human kin.

Dean of Instruction

Director

Hallie is a first-generation Colombian-American (Mayan/ Muisca) artist, curator, organizer, researcher, and teacher. Their communal practice involves deeply listening to the wisdom of Earth and Elders, to mobilize regenerative means that heal our relationships with each other and Mother Earth. Hallie is the founder of “The Great Listening,” an executive board member of the Midwest SOARRING Foundation, and a community garden manager.
