Modules

Module 1

Gathering Circle 1:

In this class we will have a moderated talking circle to discuss past worksheets and homework and hear from the class about how their projects are going. We will hear from guest speakers and consider timeline planning, Gantt charts, and other tools that can help us envision a roadmap and accountability system for ourselves. We will work on a sample Gantt chart together. We will devise the first step of our project, even it’s a small one, which hopefully can be completed during the course of BRH Level II.

Module 2

Gathering Circle 2:

In this class we will get to know each other and our projects a bit more, through a moderated talking circle. We will also discuss funding and funding sources, and hear stories about how and why we might want to seek financial support. We will hear from inspiring guest speakers, and also work on a sample budget sheet.

Module 3

Gathering Circle 3:

In this class we will have a moderated talking circle sharing challenges, issues and solutions we are experiencing in order to learn from each other and continue to develop peer-to-peer supports. We will learn about regenerative leadership structures, as well as discuss team building and project collaboration techniques. We will also work on a “power mapping” sample sheet. We ask the class to try to complete the first step of their original Gantt chart and report back on how that went in the final class.

Module 4

Gathering Circle 4:

Through a moderated talking circle, we will celebrate and share how our “first step” in launching our project went, and learn from each other’s successes and setbacks. We will also hear from guest speakers who have tried and failed--and tried again--to show how persistence is key in this life and in this work.
