Modules

Module 1:

First Insights:

In our first class, we will learn from Dr. Lyla June about Indigenous land care strategies from around the world. We will explore past and current examples of living in reciprocity with the earth. We will be inspired by the powerful ways that human beings can be a catalyst for biodiversity and ecosystems health. We will reflect on the state of our respective environments and what timely needs we can support in these places.

Module 2:

Visioning and Brainstorming:

In this class, you will identify your unique bandwidth, skillsets, positionality, and networks to help you start thinking about what your individual gift to Mother Earth would be. We will have fun activities to help you brainstorm project ideas, and we will help you write your personal love letter to creation, whether it is written in soil, seeds, habitat expansion, or the arts, (e.g. community bird bath, pollinator gardens, indoor garden, creating wildlife habitat in your backyard, invasive species removal, waterway clean up, songs you could write, awareness-raising art you could make, educating our community, hosting a film screening, etc.)

Module 3:

The Nuts and Bolts:

Diving in, we will help you hone the practical steps for implementing your project. Ensuring each step of your project aligns with your mission, we will support you throughout outlining and researching the potential project costs, funding sources, material requirements, venues, and logistics. All gifts to the Earth, regardless of scale, are vitally important in this time, and many hands together make the work lighter. Everyone can offer something beautiful to Mother Earth.

Module 4:

Sharing & Stepping Forward:

Together, we will share and present our goals and ideas for our respective regenerative projects. All presentation styles are welcome (verbal, visual, video, dance, slides, research paper, studio art, etc). In peer-to-peer and whole group settings, we will get a chance to inspire and be inspired. We will also be able connect with like-minded community members through our intentions and plans for our local environments. We will establish our community hub as a network from which we can continue to learn from one another’s ideas and support each other. Becoming a Regenerative Human II course will now be accessible to graduates of this course.
