Becoming a Regenerative Human

In this course, we will:

  • Ā Create strategic plans to take regenerative action in our local environments in a small or large way
  • Explore your unique role to help Mother Earth at this timeĀ 
  • Listen to other classmates’ strategic plans for inspiration and education
  • Have the opportunity to present your strategic plan to others for feedback and support
  • Join a community of people who want to change the world for the better
  • Explore fascinating paradigms and worldviews to help us make sense of our role on the planetĀ 
  • Be inspired by fellow ecological change makers & learn from their techniques and approaches

Modules

Module 1:

First Insights:

Learning from Dr. Lyla June about Indigenous land care strategies from around the world. More lessons will be woven into each session (e.g. quote, example from research, etc. to help you get excited each time). Towards the end we will brainstorm one idea in last 5 minutes of class of what we could do in our local environment.Ā 

Module 2:

Visioning and Brainstorming:

In this class we guide students to create their own list of ideas for helping your local environment. We will help you write your personal love letter to creation whether it is written in soil, or seed, or habitat, or music. We will do one with no limits and also one that is immediately doable. We will help you estimate the scale of your budget, work area, and team. if you want it to be low budget or deeply funded. (e.g. community bird bath, pollinator gardens, indoor garden, creating wildlife habitat in your backyard, invasive species clean up, waterway clean up, songs you could write, educating our community, and hosting a film screening.) Community sharing popcorn style of our ideas for our communities to end.

Module 3:

The Nuts and Bolts:

We will help you hone you core values/philosophy that could be reflected in the creation of your project in every step. Guiding you break down project steps, step timeline, potential project costs, potential funding sources, material requirements, and core values/philosophy.

Module 4:

Sharing:

Together we share our ideas for the future and learn from one another’s ideas.
